French Navy: Military cooperation with the United Kingdom
It was as part of the ‘Jeanne d’Arc 2017’ campaign that the Mistral and Courbet entered the Indo-Pacific region for four months.
In addition to training French Navy cadets, this mission includes a British detachment, a sign of the ongoing and essential cooperation with European Union countries. The ships will carry out exercises, but will also undertake protection and presence missions within the various French territories in the Pacific, as well as international cooperation missions with Asian countries and Australia.
