Patrouille de France: Flypast over New York
The French Air Patrol put on a splendid display in New York on Saturday 25 March.
To mark the centenary of the United States’ entry into the First World War and, more broadly, to celebrate the close cooperation between France and the United States, the Patrouille de France decided to paint the New York sky in the colours of the French tricolour, something that had not happened for 31 years, since the centenary commemoration of the Statue of Liberty.
This event marks the start of a 24-stop tour of the United States that will run until 4 May.
