Lyon (69): He assaulted a police officer during his trial

The incident took place in Lyon. Whilst an 18-year-old defendant was appearing in court in connection with the assault on a firefighter in Neuville-sur-Saône, he verbally and physically attacked a police officer. First, he threatened to kill him, then physically assaulted him by punching him and spitting in his face. It took five officers to subdue him; the police officer who was attacked has been granted two days’ temporary incapacity leave. The hearing was adjourned and the man has been remanded in custody.
