Belgium: A man attacks two paramedics and barricades himself in with several weapons

On Sunday afternoon, two paramedics from the Haignaut Province Fire and Emergency Medical Service were assaulted whilst on duty by a 44-year-old man in Frameries. The man was under the influence of alcohol and drugs at the time of the incident. He initially refused to get into the ambulance, then physically attacked the emergency crew. The man then barricaded himself inside his home with several weapons. The Borain police task force had to intervene to apprehend the man.
