According to our information, the fire currently affecting the military camp in the commune of Captieux is believed to have been caused by an accident. At least 250 hectares of pine forest are reported to have already been burnt. The fire does not in any way pose a threat to the population or homes in neighbouring communes. Military personnel and 70 firefighters from Gironde are on the scene, along with aerial support.
