Nice (06): a gendarme attacked as he left the courthouse

It was outside the courthouse in Nice that a gendarme was accosted by a disgruntled family on Tuesday 28 March. A member of that family had in fact just been sentenced to six months’ imprisonment without parole for making threats and insulting that same officer. The incident dates back to Sunday 26 March, in a town near Nice where the family lives and which is apparently well known to the police. One of the family members then attacked the officer, who was off duty that day. The individual was arrested and was later joined by his brother, who had also come to threaten the gendarmerie.
