Innovation: the Waze app links up with the emergency services
The Waze app, a Google subsidiary, signed a partnership agreement on Thursday with the European Emergency Number Association (EENA).
This partnership focuses primarily on a geolocation service, which will enable emergency services to be directed more effectively. Conversely, emergency services will also be able to indicate the locations of incidents so that users can alter their routes.
In this instance, four pilot sites have been selected across Europe.
