Rouen: He was stroking a police dog whilst carrying cannabis in his pocket

It was in a shopping centre near Rouen in Seine-Maritime (76) that, last Saturday, a man was arrested whilst a public awareness campaign by the gendarmerie was underway. The man, who had clearly forgotten that he was carrying cannabis in his pocket, approached the dog simply to stroke it. The dog, however, remembering exactly why it had been trained, quickly alerted its handler. The ‘Animal Lover’s Award’ or the ‘Bewildered Person’s Award’ – we’ll leave it up to you to decide.
