Essonne (91): Man arrested for pointing a laser at a SAMU helicopter

The incident dates back to last February, when a 33-year-old man living in Draveil (91) shone a laser at an air ambulance helicopter whilst it was in flight. The pilot, who was circling above the house, was able to identify the window through which the man had used his laser. He was arrested last Friday and taken into police custody. He is reported to have admitted to the offence but also added that it was a test to demonstrate something to a friend. It is now up to the court in Evry to determine and rule on the exact circumstances of the incident on 6 July.
