Pierre Jolivet’s new film, *LES HOMMES DU FEU*, starring Roschdy Zem and Emilie Dequenne, offers a realistic and compassionate insight into daily life at an SDIS fire station in the Aude region, on the eve of another summer of high-risk call-outs.
Philippe, aged 45, is in charge of a fire station in the south of France. It’s a hot summer. Fires are breaking out everywhere, whether arson or not. Then Bénédicte arrives, a chief warrant officer – the same rank as Xavier, a seasoned man in his forties: tension on the ground, and tensions within the brigade too… An insight into the lives of these great heroes: courageous in the face of fire, but also on the front line of our everyday lives.
