A one-tonne fire engine belonging to the Pas-de-Calais SDIS ended up on its side for unknown reasons whilst responding to a call-out late on Monday afternoon. According to the Pas-de-Calais Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS 62), contacted by our editorial team, the six firefighters on board the vehicle were injured, with some reportedly suffering from broken ribs. The firefighter who was hospitalised in a serious condition has since been reclassified as a moderate emergency.
According to reports widely shared on social media, the lorry is said to have ended up on its side at a roundabout in the town of Noyelles-sur-Lens. At 7.30 pm, we did not know the circumstances of the accident or whether anyone had been injured.
