MONTELIMAR (26)

A fire is currently burning on the A7 motorway heading from Avignon to Valence, near Malataverne at the Montélimar Sud exit (26). The fire is burning on both sides of the motorway and is producing very thick smoke. Around thirty firefighters have been deployed! Update at 6.00 pm: the fire has been extinguished; 8 hectares have been burnt, and nearly 80 firefighters were deployed! Update at 5.20 pm: the fire has mobilised nearly 80 firefighters; around 5 to 7 hectares are reported to have been burnt!
