Hautecourt-Romanèche (01)

A fierce fire has been raging since mid-afternoon near the town of Hautecourt-Romanèche in the Ain department (01). 3. The fire has been contained and is currently being doused; four forest fire response teams and one urban fire brigade have been mobilised, along with three Canadair aircraft, which have carried out 18 water drops. The fire will remain under surveillance to prevent any flare-ups. 2. 30 hectares of vegetation are reported to have already been burnt, and a further hundred or so are currently under threat. 1. Four forest fire response teams (comprising nearly 90 firefighters) and three ‘Pélican’ aircraft are on site at the boxwood fire to prevent the flames from spreading.
