Carros (06)

A fire has been reported near the town of Carros in the Alpes-Maritimes department (06). At 5.00 pm, the fire had grown in size and was spreading rapidly due to strong winds in the area. Numerous ground and air reinforcements have been requested to combat the spread of the flames.   UPDATE 8.40 pm: 60 hectares burnt; reinforcements from the Alpes-de-Hautes-Provence department (fire brigade unit) are expected. For your safety, please avoid the area.
