Florensac (34)

A fire has been reported near the town of Florensac in the Hérault department (34). Three GIFFs, three Air Tractors, one suburban fire brigade, one forestry team, one CCAM and one CCGC have been deployed to tackle this brush fire and prevent the flames from spreading. According to initial reports, 2 hectares of vegetation had been burnt by 7.45 pm. For your safety, please avoid the area. Update at 8.30 pm: The Air Tractors have carried out effective water drops; the fire is still burning but is no longer spreading, with 3 hectares burnt. Update at 9.15 pm: The fire is now under control and is being doused by the fire brigade; the area burnt is estimated at around 4 hectares.
