A fA fire is currently burning in the commune of Marguerittes, near the A9 motorway, in the Gard department. "Traffic is slow and disrupted by smoke; the emergency services are on the scene! Please do not go to the scene and ensure emergency services have unhindered access. For any emergency, the emergency number is 112 throughout Europe. Open fires are strictly prohibited at this time of year!” the Gard fire service stated in a short message posted on their Facebook page.
