A fire has been reported at 12.30 pm near the village of Mélagues in the Aveyron department, on the border with the Hérault. For your safety, please avoid the area.
The resources currently deployed comprise three GIFFs (two from SDIS 34 and one from SDIS 12), as well as two Trackers which will drop water on the area once the Air Tractors have departed, and a group of fire service commandos: one from SDIS 34 and one from SDIS 12
1.45 pm: undergrowth fire still active, approximately 1 ha burnt.
16:00: 1 hectare of undergrowth and humus, so a lengthy extinguishing operation. Fire brought under control at 16:30.
