On 1 January 2018, the towns of Epône and Mézières-sur-Seine will merge their municipal police forces; this partnership will be the first of its kind in the Île-de-France region.
Police officers will be able to patrol both areas, as there are no administrative boundaries between the two municipalities. In 2018, six armed municipal police officers will be responsible for public safety. This merger also aims to reduce the financial burden of running the service.
