London: terrorist attack on the Underground

On Friday morning, 22 people were injured in an explosion at Parsons Green station on the London Underground. This is the fifth terrorist attack in London in six months. The area around the station has been cordoned off by the police and a manhunt is under way to track down the bomber. The commander of the London police’s counter-terrorism unit has stated that a homemade explosive device was used in the attack. MI5 (the UK’s domestic security service) is leading the investigation.
