United States: explosion in central New York
On Monday morning at around 8.00 am local time (2.00 pm French time), an explosion occurred at the Port Authority Bus Terminal near Times Square.
Lines A, C and E of the New York Underground were evacuated.
The explosion may have been caused by a homemade explosive device carried by an individual; it left four people with injuries of varying severity, according to the New York Fire Department. So far, the police have arrested a man from Bangladesh; the suspect was also injured in the explosion.
