Lyon: a soldier serving with Operation Sentinelle attempts suicide

A 27-year-old woman shot herself in the head whilst on a video call with her ex-partner in the station toilets. On Monday evening, the victim, who was fighting for her life, was taken to Edouard-Herriot Hospital. According to our colleagues at the daily newspaper Le Point, It was the recent break-up between the soldier and her partner that may have prompted the young woman’s actions.
