Operation Barkhane: Three French soldiers wounded in an attack on their convoy

On Friday, the French Armed Forces General Staff announced that a French armoured convoy had been attacked by a suicide bomber between Ménaka and Indelimane in Mali. One soldier from Operation Barkhane has been seriously injured and is to be repatriated to France. Two other soldiers have sustained minor injuries. Launched on 1 August 2014, this military operation is primarily aimed at combating armed terrorist groups operating between Mali and Chad. © Ministry of Defence
