Fake police officers stopped a number of luxury cars in the Eure department on Thursday 25 January.
The individuals had fitted their vehicle with a flashing light and claimed to be part of a patrol from the National Police’s anti-crime brigade … The stops took place in Pacy-sur-Eure and St Aubin-sur-Gaillon. As both towns are in areas patrolled by the gendarmerie, the drivers were on their guard and, when they asked to see their official ID, the individuals fled.
