Gironde: a gendarme struck during a roadside check

On Sunday, at around 3 pm, a gendarme from Bellin Beliet was seriously injured during a roadside check. He died on Monday as a result of his injuries. The officer was struck by a 15-year-old motorcyclist whilst he was checking a vehicle on the D3. He was airlifted by helicopter to Bordeaux University Hospital. The public prosecutor has launched an investigation, which has been entrusted to the Arcachon Criminal Investigation Unit.
