Yvelines: Fire at a high-threshold SEVESO site

A fire has kept the Yvelines fire brigade on the scene since 3 am in Saint-Germain-en-Laye at the high-threshold SEVESO site operated by the Interdepartmental Syndicate for Sanitation in the Paris Metropolitan Area. The fire is believed to have started in the dewatered sludge production unit. 35 vehicles and around 80 firefighters are involved in the operation, including a site commander, a long-duration reconnaissance team and a chemical hazard unit.
