Gendarmerie: Launch of the Digital Brigade

Since this Tuesday, it has been possible to contact the Gendarmerie’s digital unit regarding all matters relating to day-to-day safety. The digital unit is based in Rennes and responds instantly 24 hours a day via the Gendarmerie’s website, Facebook page and Twitter account. Officers in this unit can also assist foreign tourists in German, English, Spanish and Italian. You can also find 600 frequently asked questions on the National Gendarmerie’s website. In an emergency, only a call to 17 or 112 will trigger a response from the police.
