This is certainly an incident that will remain etched in the memories of the firefighters and the victim they attended to. According to our colleagues at the Lorraine Republican, three professional firefighters from the Metz fire station were called out to assist a casualty on Friday evening in the city centre. Upon their arrival at the scene, a heated exchange broke out with a passer-by, who then struck the three SDIS 57 officers with a baton.
The police were forced to intervene, and the fire brigade called for a second ambulance to take one of the firefighters, who had been injured, to hospital. A complaint may be lodged.
