Under the name Geosector is already in use at 150 fire stations across France. Follow the tour in real timeTo make this annual task easier, he came up with an online solution together with two of his friends, Frédéric André and Olivier Merlet, who are also firefighters in Centre-Morbihan.
"Geosector first allows you to ‘divide’ local authorities into sectors on a map. Then, as they make their rounds, firefighters can very easily mark the houses they need to revisit, and the places where they stopped the previous day…", says Christophe Vagueresse.
A ‘phenomenal’ time-saver

Launched just one year ago, Geosector is already being used by 150 firefighters’ associations across France.
“In Pluméliau, we’ve saved an incredible amount of time. I made a video tutorial explaining how Geosector works, and word of mouth did the rest.”
A subscription costing €60 a year
Vannes, Auray, Guingamp and Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer have already adopted it. "We offer subscriptions starting at €60 a year, which covers the costs of maintaining and updating our website."
The website could be used in other sectors, such as postal delivery and door-to-door sales… The three firefighters’ ‘brilliant idea’ is only just getting started.
