Following the fire in Roquessels-Gabian, north of Béziers in the Hérault department, in the summer of 2016 – in which four firefighters were seriously injured, one of whom, Jérémy Beier, lost his life, the commitment of staff, organisations and support groups remains as strong as ever.

This Monday, the association "We're all with you", which was set up to support firefighters and the families of victims, has presented a vehicle to Lucas Canuel, one of the firefighters who suffered severe burns. This vehicle, fitted with an automatic gearbox, should enable him to "to travel and prepare for their sporting challenge at the next Paralympic Games", explain the Hérault fire brigade on their Facebook page.

This initiative was made possible thanks to the funds raised through various events and charity campaigns organised by the SDIS 34 fire service. The handover of the vehicle took place in the presence of Colonel Éric Florès, Director of SDIS 34, his deputy, and the co-chairs of the association and the Montpellier Firefighters’ Association.
