Explosions were heard on Monday evening in Nice, near Place Magenta, according to our colleagues at Nice Matin.
It is reported to be a dispute between two individuals, during which one of them is said to have used a blank-firing weapon, such as an alarm pistol, which is therefore harmless.
A dozen people injured
But the bangs from the blank-firing pistol caused a real commotion amongst the crowd on Place Magenta and the surrounding area.
According to the police, as reported by our colleagues at Nice Matin, "A dozen people have been reported injured. They are currently being treated in hospital. Their injuries are believed to be minor. The two individuals responsible for causing this panic have been arrested.".
