Frédéric de Lanouvelle was appointed spokesperson for the Ministry of the Interior on 4 December 2017. He succeeds Pierre-Henry Brandet.

As a communications specialist, the spokesperson is responsible for representing the Ministry of the Interior in its day-to-day dealings with the media, working in close collaboration with the office of the Minister for the Interior and the office of the Secretary-General of the Ministry.

He also serves as Deputy Head of Information and Communications within the Communications Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior.

Frédéric de Lanouvelle is a journalist and worked as a reporter and presenter at BFMTV for nine years (2007–2016). Alongside covering general news, he became the channel’s specialist in adventure, exploration and extreme sports.

This specialisation enabled him to join TF1 in June 2016 to produce on-the-ground reports for the programmes “19h Live” and “Sept à huit”.

Frédéric de Lanouvelle is also a trainer in media training and public speaking. Over the past five years, he has trained numerous executives and business leaders.
