This Friday, 4 May at 8.50 pm, the programme ‘Enquête d’Action’ on W9 will focus on the firefighters of the Gard.

A film doesn’t change the world, but it can sometimes help to explain it a little. For 52 minutes, the firefighters of SDIS 30 – mainly those from the Nîmes fire station – will take centre stage.

A team of reporters followed the firefighters from Nîmes’ main fire station as they went about their daily work alongside members of the public.

Nearly 200 firefighters keep watch over the county town of Gard, famous for its amphitheatre, its Maison Carrée and its Feria. A behind-the-scenes look at their work, to be seen on the small screen just a few days before the Whitsun Feria.

These men and women carry out more than 13,000 call-outs a year in response to fires, road traffic accidents, rescues of people on public roads and in premises open to the public, and everyday emergencies.

This Friday evening will be an opportunity to share this intense, immersive experience with the firefighters from the Gard region.
