Pro D2 Final: Catalan firefighters support USAP

D-Day is this Sunday at 3 pm, when USAP take on Grenoble in Toulouse at the Ernest-Wallon Stadium in the Pro D2 final. Since that fateful 3 May 2014, when USAP were relegated, “the Catalans have never been so close to regaining their pride”, as our colleagues at L’Indépendant put it. This morning, firefighters from the main fire station in north Perpignan were keen to show their support for their rugby union team. In a photo posted on social media this Sunday morning, we can see the arm of their aerial ladder extended, holding aloft a long Catalan flag with two rugby balls placed on the ground.
