Fire service paramedics: the national conferences will be held in Perpignan

The 11th National Fire Service Nurses’ Conference (JNISP) will take place from 18 to 20 October in Perpignan, in the Pyrénées-Orientales. They are organised by the National Association of Fire Service Nurses (ANISP).

The following topics will be discussed: two years on from the last National Nurses’ Days fire brigade In Arcachon, in the south of France, their 11theThe event will take place. Alongside the SSSM 66 team and with the support of the SDIS 66 and the UDSP 66, the ANISP will be running a number of workshops at the Perpignan Convention Centre.

  • damage control
  • childbirth and newborn care
  • the nurse’s interpretation of the EGC
  • airway management
  • post-operation psychological debriefing
  • NRBCe as applied to SSSM
  • analgesia (IM/IV/intranasal)

ANISP will be running a simulation workshop focusing on the management of a patient in a life-threatening emergency involving traumatic hypovolaemia. A gala evening will take place on Friday 19 October. ANISP’s partners will showcase their latest innovations in treatments and equipment tailored to the practices within the SDIS.

The 2018 JNISP will also provide an opportunity to present the work involved in producing a Good Practice Guide (GPG) on telemedicine applied to PISUs. This project was launched during the Technical and Production Days (JTP) in Thionville in 2017, in partnership with the French Society for Telemedicine (SFTelemed).
