Last Friday, an agreement was signed in support of three GRDF staff members who are also volunteer firefighters. Since 2010, GRDF has been working with the Ministry of the Interior to make it easier for its employees to carry out their voluntary work.
On Friday 8 June, this framework agreement was implemented at local level by the Morbihan Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS). Gilles Dufeigneux, Chair of the SDIS Board of Directors, and Bernard Fourdan, Regional Director of GRDF Bretagne, signed three availability agreements. Three volunteer firefighters – Alexandre Bernard, Gauthier Jego and Cyril Jacquet – will now be entitled to 15 days per year to carry out their voluntary work, seven of which will be devoted to training.
The signing of the agreement took place in the presence of Eric Roussel, GRDF’s national SPV liaison officer; Bruno Guegan, from the Brittany Customer and Regional Division; and Alexandre Sculteur, head of the South Brittany Gas Operations Branch, on behalf of GRDF. The SDIS was represented by General Controller Cyrille Berrod, Departmental Director; Lieutenant-Colonel Yves Le Lay, Head of the Lorient Territorial Group; Commander David Decombes, Deputy Head of the Vannes Territorial Group; the heads of the CIS units in Ploemeur, Plouhinec and Ploeren, as well as the heads of the Morbihan SDIS volunteer programme.
