On Wednesday, at around 3.45 pm, a head-on collision between two vehicles took place on the D98 near Villepreux.
In the first vehicle, a woman who was eight months pregnant died, and in the second vehicle, a couple and their three children were seriously injured.
The operation involved around forty firefighters, police teams, several SMURs, a Dragon (Civil Protection helicopter), an SMUH (Helicopter-Based Emergency Medical Service, SAMU helicopter) and a Choucas (a National Gendarmerie helicopter).
The helicopters and the firefighters (escorted by the police) transported the victims to Necker, Pompidou and Beaujon hospitals.
The Plaisir police are leading the investigation to determine the circumstances of the accident.
