The incident took place on Saturday in Brest, at around 9.30 pm. Two people died and two others were injured following a collision between an ambulance and a car.
According to initial findings by the investigators, an ambulance and a car were involved in a head-on collision. Several firefighters attended the scene.
Two dead, one in a serious condition
Five people were involved in this road accident. Two have died; these are believed to be the 75-year-old patient who was being transported by the ambulance and the 29-year-old paramedic. Two other people have been injured, one of whom is in a serious condition. The circumstances of the incident are not yet known.
