The Gard Fire Service announced the acquisition of seven new ambulances on its Facebook page.
In order to maintain an appropriate operational response to rescue operations involving people – which account for 80 per cent of the Gard fire service’s call-outs – the board of the Gard SDIS has recently approved the purchase of seven new rescue and victim assistance vehicles.
€84,000 per VSAV
These seven new vehicles were delivered early last week to the emergency services centres in Nîmes, Marguerittes, Beaucaire, Lédignan, Saint-Jean-du-Gard, Alès and Bagnols-sur-Cèze.
The elected members of the SDIS board of directors have confirmed this investment of €84,000 per vehicle.
