Saint-Vallier (26)

A fire has been reported in the commune of Saint-Vallier (26) in the Drôme department. For your safety, please avoid the area. Firefighters are on the scene, along with aerial support and the command centre. There are strong winds in the area; this is a fierce bramble fire spreading uphill. Three hectares have already been burnt, and around fifty are at risk. Homes are being protected by the firefighters on site. The fire is difficult to access. The fire was brought under control and contained at around 8 pm; extensive dousing operations are currently underway. The exact area burnt is unknown.
