During the night between Friday and Saturday, firefighters from Lorient, who were travelling in a fire engine on their way to tackle some bin fires, were targeted by people throwing fireworks, according to our colleagues at the Telegram.
A complaint was lodged and, late on Saturday afternoon, a man was arrested and taken into police custody. The investigation is continuing in order to identify any potential accomplices. "We're here to help and provide assistance, not to be attacked" a firefighter told Ouest-France.
