Lot: demonstrations by the Gendarmerie’s dog-handling teams until the end of August

According to a report by France 3 Occitanie, dog handlers at the Gendarmerie’s National Canine Training Centre in Gramat are holding daily demonstrations until 30 August. “It’s a role that attracts people to the Gendarmerie … lots of people want to do this job”. At the training centre, dogs can be trained in 16 different specialities. Nationwide, the Gendarmerie has 540 dogs (80 per cent of which are Malinois) and 450 dog handlers.
