Seine-Saint-Denis: 22 people injured in a block of flats fire

On Sunday evening, a fire broke out at around 7 pm in a block of flats in Aubervilliers (93). According to the Paris Fire Brigade’s (BSPP) preliminary report, there are believed to be at least 22 people injured: 7 in critical condition and 15 with less serious injuries. The first responders to arrive at the scene were 10 police officers, who suffered smoke inhalation whilst evacuating the burning building. Around 100 Paris firefighters in around 40 vehicles were required to carry out their operations. Forensic investigators then attended the scene to gather evidence for the investigation, which will determine the causes of the fire.
