A fire has been reported at the Col de la Bataille, in the municipality of Millas, in the Pyrénées-Orientales (66). The fire is reportedly under control. At least three hectares have been destroyed.
According to several witnesses, a large number of firefighters from SDIS 66 have been deployed since very early on Tuesday morning.
The cause of the fire remained unknown at 7.40 am. A water-bombing helicopter was deployed alongside numerous firefighters on the ground.
