A crew of firefighters from the Lencloitre fire station in the Vienne department were involved in a road accident whilst travelling in a fire engine on their way to an emergency call-out. The vehicle came to a halt on its side.
Of the five firefighters, three were injured and treated by their colleagues before being taken to Poitiers University Hospital.
