The Eure National Police announced that they had taken a 17-year-old into custody on Thursday. The teenager admitted to throwing a concrete block at a police vehicle in Val-de-Reuil nearly a year ago. It was the analysis of the evidence that enabled the forensic science laboratory to identify the perpetrator.
The cost of the repairs amounts to 1,520 euros; the offender must reimburse the full amount. Charged with “wilful damage to public property”, the Évreux Criminal Court has ordered a criminal compensation payment in addition to the penalties imposed.
