Agde: two police officers injured during an arrest
An arrest went wrong on Friday evening at a property in Agde, in the Hérault department, where two police officers from the town’s Public Security unit were slightly injured – one in the lower back and the other on two fingers.
Having arrived to settle a dispute between the property owner’s daughter and the 45-year-old tenant, the officers were attacked by the latter, who was under the influence of alcohol. He attempted to kick and punch them.
A female police officer was called a “fat slut and a filthy whore”, and her colleagues were also subjected to verbal abuse, as were the officers from the Anti-Crime Brigade (BAC) who were called in as reinforcements to handcuff the man in his forties and take him to the police station for police custody.
The two police officers were injured during the highly chaotic subduing of the suspect, who was already known to the police for previous offences.
