Following industrial action on 5 November and an unsuccessful meeting with the Lyon metropolitan authority, four trade unions within the SDMIS (the departmental and metropolitan fire and rescue service) are calling on all staff to go on strike from Thursday 6 to 10 December.
The trade unions regret that they have been unable to reach an agreement on the introduction of a multi-year recruitment plan in line with operational needs, staff pay and the introduction of a 12-hour rotating shift system.
"In light of these factors, we ask the Prefect to kindly attend the next meeting, in order to act as a mediator between the parties" a trade unionist explains.
