London: police can ram motorcyclists to arrest them

Motorcycle robbers and thieves knew that the London police officers in pursuit of them were taking no risks so as not to cause accidents, so they were able to shake them off quite easily. Now, the police are authorised to ram motorcyclists to bring car chases to an end. However, in the UK’s capital, not all police officials agree with these new methods, describing them as “dangerous driving”. Since this arrest procedure was introduced, thefts of two-wheeled vehicles have fallen by a third.
