The SAMU 29 helicopter, based at Brest University Hospital, will now be able to fly at night. Following a four-month trial, the Brittany Regional Health Agency has now authorised the helicopter-based emergency medical service to operate 24 hours a day, with the aim of reducing the time it takes for the medical team to reach victims in areas furthest from the hospital.
