A van belonging to the Gard fire service caught fire on Friday following a technical fault, according to our colleagues at the Dauphiné. According to the same source, the emergency vehicle was on the road to Avignon, in Laudun.
For about twenty minutes, the road was closed to traffic due to a risk of explosion. Fortunately, no firefighters were injured.
